Empowering people through theatre, dance and film

17 July 2015 - Vacancy for an Interim Project Manager

We are sad to hear that our General Manager, Louisa Milburn, will be leaving Blue Apple Theatre at the end of the summer. We wish her well in her future role.

This means that we are therefore looking for someone to maintain the momentum of Blue Apple on a temporary basis - but with scope for progression into a permanent role for the right applicant.

Hours - 4 days per week with some flexibility with some evening and weekend work

Contract period - 17 August – 17 November (3 months)

Deadline for applications: midnight on Tuesday 4 August.

Dropped jaw, curled lip, words

pulled and pushed out and swallowed,

vocal rollercoaster ridden by

eyes waiting for the cue,

in a queue, much ado.

I did wonder whether

that was it – a queue of turns

at words, unlinked, save

one followed another;

the wrong view, I soon knew.

Early lesson, got used to

their inner fight to

hook the fish, pull up the line

adorned with a phrase after

waiting long, deep deliberations.

Bright eyes, bold eyes, shone

right through, watched them, heard them,

clear as bells, green, grey,

May blue bells, telling all, calling

please watch me, please hear me.

Yes, watch me kiss her before you all,

see the other me, an actor, making

you believe an old story, a love story,

lips like your lips, sugar-tipped;

she’ll remember my story lips.

And we’ll reach the end,

nearly there, nearly time, to bow low,

blow more kisses to the crowd;

why don’t they stop, so loud,

so shaken, so moved, oh so

proud of us, the fuss and

the clapping, still clapping for us;

must skip a jig next time, next

time we dance off, can we

dance upon our Downs tomorrow?
